A Glimpse of Nanjing's History is for You to Receive

Fallen leaves show the coming of autumn. Accompanied by the rustle of boundless fallen leaves, the quaint Nanjing City adds a touch of solemnity and stillness to the chilly autumn atmosphere. Swayed by the autumn winds, old trees are shedding their leaves profusely on the streets. Walking on the streets of Nanjing in the chilly autumn atmosphere is like taking a time trip to the ancient and solemn world where you can savor the unique charm of the season.

The sunlight penetrates the sparse clouds and scatters on the streets, laying a coating of soft radiance. The golden sunlight sets off the quaintness of the ancient buildings by casting mottled shadows at their feet. Autumn seems to have frozen time here in this rapidly changing modern city.

You pace in the alleys around the Confucius Temple, sniff the delicious street snacks, and look at the antique shops. It feels like being in the age when the city was called Jinling. You can hear the melodious sound of qin and reading coming from all around. The voices of ancient people talking and laughing echo in you. The autumn in Nanjing is spreading freely around us.

Nanjing is a city with a history of nearly 2,500 years and abundant cultural relic resources. It boasts the greatest number of museums in Jiangsu Province. It is a good idea to visit various museums in Nanjing during this chilly season.

In the chilly air, I saw history swept clean, ancient civilizations presented before me, exquisite paintings formed by the intertwining of history and culture, Nanjing's glory in the past, and the touching chapters recorded in museums. The solemn atmosphere got stronger. I momentarily failed to tell whether it was the glorious history that brought me grandeur or the cold wind that sent me the feeling of bleakness.

When I pushed open the heavy gate of Nanjing Museum in autumn, I saw the treasures of Nanjing culture quietly presented before me. Bronze crouching deer, divine beast-face jade cong, the jade seal of Guangling King, bronze ox lantern with silver ornament, and Tang tri-color glazed ceramics were among them. In the exhibition of Ming Dynasty palace artifacts, I felt as if I were standing among the ancient emperors. I sensed their majesty and power. Precious cultural relics such as the emperor's seat, swords, and jade pendants shimmered with enchanting light under the soft lighting and outlined a glorious picture of history.

I stand in the Oriental Metropolitan Museum, as if seeing the "Oriental Metropolis" over 1,500 years ago, listening to the changing stories of the Six Dynasties depicted in Han paintings, lacquerware, and tiles, and appreciating the profound historical atmosphere and cultural heritage of Jinling heartily told about by the chilly autumn.

The Nanjing City Wall Museum represents a journey back to the historical charm of city walls over 650 years ago, where you appreciate antiques, listen to the history of the walls, praise the spirit of craftsmanship, and learn about the magnificent stories of ambitious heroes who were buried in these centuries.

Nanjing, a city with a long history, attracts us with its unique autumn atmosphere and rich cultural heritage. In the autumn breeze, you can do a time travel to meet the ancients and experience the glamour of the fusion of ancient and modern times. The autumn in Nanjing is like a touching poem that evokes my reverence for history and culture and makes me cherish the treasures of this city even more. Nanjing and its brilliance will always shine in my heart.
